We have now handed over the Sussex Yacht Club project at Shoreham.
This highly-specified project came with its fair share of engineering challenges due to its location in a zone 3 flood risk area and on the edge of the river Adur. Further complications came from combinations of spring tides and exceptionally heavy rainfall. The new club house sits on a 1.4m high plinth, and its new location has enabled Adur District Council to continue the flood defence wall that now protects the town of Shoreham.
