Assembly
The foundations and oversite slab are laid in the traditional way prior to the offsite manufactured building components being delivered.
The walls, floor and roof panels are manufactured in manageable sections, up to 12 meters long. Attached to the buildings components are lifting loops in order that the panels can be craned into position safely.
The various elements of the building are craned into position and bolted together; seals pre-fitted at the factory on the ends of the panels are butted together to ensure that the completed building is airtight.
Once the internal and external walls have been fitted, the roof coverings and external claddings can be fitted, and the internal finishings and 2nd fix works can take place.
Internally the fibreboard is sealed, taped and jointed to make the surfaces ready for decorations.
On average, the time required to erect a 4-bedroom house of average size is 2-3 days, this short time-scale greatly reduces the construction period required to build a property
